A dream come true: Katie & Ryan, married!

Fort Myers Wedding Photographer | Set Free Photography

Ryan always said he was going to marry one of the White sisters, while growing up with them at Southwest Florida Christian Academy. Katie was the one for him, and they are absolutely perfect for each other. I loved learning about their sweet love story, and hearing how Ryan always knew that he would marry Katie is the stuff you read about or hear in movies. He used to leave her notes to find in the classroom…they shared the same best friend (shout out, Britt!), and when Katie was badly injured one year, he reassured her that the wedding was still on, long before any ring had been purchased. He joked around about their impending marriage all the time, but it was no joke in the end…it was a dream that came true on June 11th, 2011.

Katie’s dress is designed by Maggie Sottero and when she allowed me to take it out of the dressing room for pictures, I was thrilled to find this staircase as a fun way to display all of it’s fabulousness. This is one of my favorite dress images!

You might remember the very beautiful Kim, mom to Katie and Brittany, one of my stunning brides from March. This is one crazy beautiful family!

Here is Brittany, helping Katie into her wedding shoes:

Katie with her loving parents:

And here they are, mom & sisters…amazingly gorgeous:

Really, Katie?! You take my breath away. You are sweet and beautiful and yet elegant and sexy all at the same time!

Ryan! You rocked it.

What I love about this image of Ryan and his Dad is that it isn’t staged! You can tell that these two have a great bond from being around them for just a few minutes…the love, respect and jokes are constant.

The wedding ceremony was held at McGregor Baptist, and beautifully decorated by Along Came Stephanie, wedding planner/designer extraordinaire!

Ryan’s face as he sees Katie walk down the aisle, escorted by her Dad:

Opening prayer…I love the way Katie’s Dad embraces Ryan. My heart sings!

Vows…and smiles. What an honor and privilege for everyone that Ryan’s Dad, Reverend Rob Flint officiated the wedding. You probably recognize him from McGregor Baptist. I hung on to every word that he said…his prayers and encouraging words as he spoke of marriage and how God created it to be sacred & protected were beautifully eloquent, and filled with love for his son and daughter in law. I could feel that this day, this union had been the fruit of years and years of prayer. I will never forget it.

Katie and Ryan had a cake reception immediately following the ceremony:

The Groom’s cake was awesome:

Then, we snuck out to the hallways & classrooms of SFCA, where it all began:

Next we headed over to the Colony Golf & Bay Club, an incredibly beautiful place for a wedding!

Thanks to Stephanie for these awesome letters!

Love love love this so so so much:

Ryan, take care of this sassy girl! Look at her face…I swoon for you, Katie!

Time for dinner…Katie’s Dad, Bill prayed over the food and over Katie & Ryan. I love seeing Katie and Ryan’s hands joined together for prayer, as husband and wife.

Here’s another view of it…

Brittany and Bryce gave great toasts:

Followed by Ryan’s bro, Reverend Rob Flint, Jr:

Brandon caught the awesome image on the right where you can see the setting sun. I can’t wait to tackle him with all of my excitement when he gets home over this one! I love it!

Now I know you know that I cry at almost every father daughter dance, but this one had me choking back a full-on cry. Katie wrote and pre-recorded a beautiful song for her Daddy and the lyrics were so heartwarming, so precious and lovely that I am welling up with tears just at the memory of it. I can’t imagine anything more special for a father than to dance with his baby girl to a song written for him, sang by her. Pass the tissues, please!

Ryan and his sweet Mom are all smiles. ps. Pam..you are one of my favorite people, thank you for your kind words and loving spirit. You made me feel so special, I will always remember you.

And finally…the gorgeous rings. From the one and only Diamond District!

Reverend Ryan and Mrs. Katie Flint: Thank you for the incredible blessing of photographing your wedding day. I am always encouraged to be around your families and I can only hope and pray that my children turn out to be the loving, kind, honoring and faithful people that you are. Your love story is precious and will only get better with time. I wish you both all the best as you begin the next chapter in your lives and I hope to see you when you visit home. Your new church family is blessed to have you!
Love,
Brandon & Stacy
