I will warn you now that this is an epic post-very long and full of lovely images of people near and dear to my heart, so I invite you to grab a cup of coffee and get comfy!
Nikki and I became fast friends when she moved to Florida a couple of years ago and reached out to fellow wedding photographers – since then, we have worked together, played together and been a great source of encouragement for each other in life and work. When she met Carlo, she knew that he was the one…never known for being traditional, these two began planning their intimate wedding after a short engagement with visions of a back alley vibe & industrial chic influences. I was honored to not only photograph a fellow wedding photographer’s wedding (whose work I admire!), but to capture these moments for my friends whom I dearly love.

This cigarette case belonged to the brides grandmother, and these rings were also family heirlooms…Nikki’s something ‘old’ and ‘borrowed.’
A sweet reveal moment; Jonah couldn’t stand to wait for Nikki another second–as soon as he laid eyes on her, he ran to her as fast as his legs would carry him.
Bootlegger’s Alley…the perfect venue for Nikki & Carlo! Kehrin at Jet Set Wed: you could not have found a more perfect location for this wedding!! High five, sister!!
I love this image of the bridal party!
Special guest Tonya Malay, woot!
Here we are…I feel so tiny in their arms.
I love it when brides intently watch the ‘mother-son’ dance…
Carlo’s family is Italian and we were all in tears when his uncle surprised us all and sang a song in Italian to the newlyweds. It was an emotional, love-filled & unforgettable moment that still gives me goosebumps…the highlight of the evening for sure!
Oh hey girls, hey!The sun began to set and the street lamps came on! So romantic…this was just an incredibly idyllic way to end our portraits.
Congratulations, Nikki, Carlo & Jonah! Your lives together are a true testament to the power of true love! I am so happy to be a part of your lives and I am forever grateful to have been a part of your wedding day. I love you!! #rocksteady
Love,
Stacy
