I am so pumped to share the wedding of Amy & Ryan today on the blog!! These two have been incredibly kind and oh so sweet together! Their love story goes like this:
While at a fundraiser for a Naples non-profit agency on June 14, 2012, Ryan spotted a girl that caught his attention. Ryan looked over to his friend and said, “I’m going to meet that girl with the red pants.” Those who know Ryan know he always gets what he wants….
Later that night, Ryan introduced himself to the girl with the red pants, Amy.
The two exchanged numbers and after a couple weeks of Amy playing hard to get, they finally went on their first date on June 30, 2012 and the whirlwind of falling in love began.
Less than two months after they started dating, Amy got a call from the receptionist asking her to come to the front desk, and quick! Working at a community mental health center, Amy was expecting to be greeted with a client experiencing psychosis or having a manic episode and was mentally preparing herself.
Instead, she was greeted by a beautiful bouquet of flowers! It was so unexpected. There was no birthday, no holiday, no special occasion. Just a normal work day. Amy opened and read the card: “Sometimes the best things in life come when you least expect them… Thank you for being a part of my life. Ryan”
*Swoon* The message was so simple but the thoughtfulness behind it made Amy’s heart flutter. To this day, Ryan still sends Amy flowers when she least expects it.
On February 13, 2015 after 3 ½ years of dating, Ryan proposed to Amy in a cabin overlooking the snowy mountains in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Exactly one year later, Ryan got what he wanted. He married “the girl with the red pants.”
Now don’t you want to go out and buy a pair of red pants?!
