I am typing this with a big, goofy grin on my face. My daughter is sitting on my lap with the same expression…you see, we are both captivated by the romance found in Brian’s proposal to Jen. Their story is simple, sweet & includes handwriting with a sharpie (two of my favorite things are handwriting & sharpies). Jen mentioned to Brian that she wanted a new pair of chucks while he was out of town…and when he returned, he brought her these:

I can hear a collective “awww!” I know, it’s so thoughtful. Brian, your thoughtfulness will be told to many…and now my daughter’s future fiance has ALOT to live up to!
Here’s one more look:

I love my job. Can I just say that? Hearing all kinds of different and romantic wedding proposals is one of the the privileges that I treasure most about being a photographer. After engagement sessions, I always drive home with a renewed hope for marriage and what it means to find your soulmate.

Jen & Brian: I had so much fun with you! Brian–on your wedding day, I give you full permission to pinch and tickle Jen! You both were so fun, I l-o-v-e-d the giggles and the playfulness!
I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

A gorgeous day for a gorgeous couple–it was perfection! We had blue skies and sun right up until I snapped the last shot…I was so thankful. I love the playfulness of Selene and Rafael, they are so easy to be around and it was clear that I was in the presence of true love.

Looking forward to the wedding, you two…Selene, you are going to be an absolutely stunning bride (and Rafael, we know you are going to be every bit as handsome!)
I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

It’s Friday…that means I am supposed to post about fashion but today I feel like being indulgent (I love it when Simon calls performances “indulgent” on American Idol, so I keep finding ways to work it into my regular vocabulary). So I am going to keep it real today and disclose what is torturing me lately:
Girl. Scout. Cookies. You may already have seen the hints to send help that I have been leaving on facebook and twitter, but this is getting bad. Here is my breakfast from today:

My breakfast is made up of five Samoas and the only reason I am eating them is because the Thin Mints are gone. And so are the Tagalongs. In fact, this is the last of our Girl Scout Cookie order. We have gone through five boxes of Thin Mints in a week and I use the word “we” loosely because my husband keeps coming home asking “where are the cookies?” And then something like “where are the $50 in Girl Scout Cookies that we ordered?” To which I reply with a shrug and a garbled “I don’t know” while I try to hide a mouthful of Lemon Chalet Cream.
People, I have a problem and my husband has been threatening to help in this area by buying a safe for the house so he can store his baked goods in there. I wish he would! I am home in front of the computer working most of the day and while I try to turn up Norah Jones on Pandora louder and louder, I can still hear the Thin Mints calling out to me. Sorry. But this is me, keeping it real.
Today I have a headache–it’s one of those withdrawal headaches, like you get when you don’t have a cup of coffee for two days. Only I have had coffee today. Sugar, too. What I haven’t had in two days is a Thin Mint. I know just one will cure my headache. Today I almost pulled into a Publix just hoping that some Girl Scouts were selling cookies outside…but then I reminded myself that my daughter would NOT approve if she found an illegal box of cookies here at home. They must come from her troop, I mean what kind of mother would that make me?
The cookie-cheating-kind is what!
Going to hide under a rock now…wish I had some Thin Mints to take with me.
Love, Stacy
p.s. My Mom bought me that Florida coffee mug…when I lived in Oregon. I still love it even though it makes me look like a tourist.

Sweet little Ava. Just thinking of her makes me smile…what a breath of fresh air she is! Watching her swirl and twirl with delight felt like I was witnessing everything it means to be a little girl. She listened so well, was easy to work with and so good in front of the camera that I had to ask her: have you done this before, professionally? The answer is: no! She is a natural talent!

Thank you for visiting my blog, I hope it brightened your day!
p.s. Amy & Robin: she is precious and so blessed to have you as role models in her life. I love you guys!

There are so many wedding albums out there to choose from…it’s exciting and overwhelming to see what the album industry has to offer. For several months, I have been narrowing down the choices and ordering samples to share with you (and include in my wedding packages).
First, the Wedding Book makes it’s debut! Printed & assembled in Italy, the quality of this album is unsurpassed. The luxurious silk cover is like oh so decadent icing on a cake (I don’t why I always make food references…hmm).

The pages are rigid and the layout allows full-page spreads with no break in your photo (hooray!). This book includes 30 spreads (60 sides) and around 165 images. I must say that to truly appreciate this album, you have to feel it with your own hands!

The Coffee Table Book is a 10×10 hinged page book with 20 pages…you have seen this type of book before as a family album but I have added the element of design.

The design is subtle, elegant and matches the color scheme of Pam’s wedding. I also have coordinating accordion book templates, 5×5 book templates & cards (thank you cards, save the date cards or engagement announcements). I love to c-o-o-r-d-i-n-a-t-e!

I will have several more album options coming soon, so stay posted on Wedding Wednesdays!
Thank you for stopping by the ol’ bloggy blog…remember to subscribe in order to be notified when I post something new.

Baby Jacob is already six months old! Here he is, full of smiles and giggles reserved only for his mommy (seriously, these smiles are a result of her kisses):

He loves being the center of attention, and he is willing to fight for it, being the youngest of six kids. His older brother and sister are in the my last Fashion Friday post…great looking family, aren’t they?

This picture convinces me that there is nothing cuter than baby denim. Nothing. Except that grin. And those fingers. And those bright eyes! I’m overwhelmed by the cute!

To view baby Jacob’s newborn session, click here: newborn Jacob Time flies! I can’t believe six months have gone by already.
Thank you for visiting…Wedding Wednesday post still to come today!

I am so excited to add this brother and sister to my blog. I met their mom, Jessy last year and we became instant friends. She is a beautiful mother of six gorgeous children…and I honestly think that Jessy has more energy than all six kids combined. She is a party planner extraordinaire and loves ordering new products…we have so much fun with her photos! She is a mom-rockstar and I have been asking her “How do you do it all?” since the day we met.
I am posting this peek on Fashion Friday because Jessy knows exactly how to dress her kids for fabulous photos. Jess, as always, you are such a pleasure and so are your kiddos.
Jacqueline rocked the sunglasses…she is a diva to the core. Look at that face! So yummy.

Joshua and his trains melted my heart..so sweet..so boy..and his smile is infectious. I can’t believe how long it’s been since my babies played with Thomas the Train!

This tutu made me squeal with delight when I saw it.

Jessy ordered a photo box collection–it includes an easel and 20 prints, mounted on styrene for display with an easel. I love this new product and I can’t wait to have 20 photos of my own children to store in one of these! We custom designed the box to match Jessy’s birthday party theme and some photo favor cards that we designed.

Happy Friday, everyone! Thanks for stopping by!
