Quinn is a mover and a shaker…with two older brothers, she has caught on quickly! She is super fast, and super tough–little stumbles don’t slow her down for a second.

I have this hourglass in my studio as decor, but when I laid eyes on baby Henry, I knew I had to use it to communicate how fast time flies with newborns…especially since he is baby #2 in this sweet family. Henry was so small, and he reminded me so much of my baby boy (who is now six!), that I was completely inspired…I am blowing this image up for myself, because when I look it at it, I feel so thankful for a job that allows me to capture precious moments in time.

Okay, so first up, we have some studio shots from their maternity session. Talia: You are THE most beautiful pregnant woman I have ever met. Truly, I mean that!

I love to love them!

This shot takes my breath away. I love the softness, the gorgeous silhouette of Talia’s belly, and the fact the she was only about two weeks away from giving birth. This is the type of image that will be priceless to baby Carter someday.

This shot is so fabulous, I am bringing it to ya in color and with a vintage twist. Talia! Girl, you rock this pink dress. I can’t pull this off and I am not even pregnant.

And now…I would like to introduce Carter Joyce! Welcome to the world, sweet babe!

I love this because the blue flower is the same one that Talia wore for her maternity session.

Congratulations, happy family! Matt…I loved watching you with Carter! We both grew up on good old Imperial Drive in Richton Park, IL…and lost touch roughly 15 years ago. I was super excited when she read one of my fb status updates about a trip I was making to Chicago, and promptly commissioned me to photograph her baby girl, Avery. What a pleasure it was to hop off my plane and drive to Erin’s downtown condo (with Heidi, I might add!)…I was able to catch a glimpse of the life I always intended on living: city living, in the Windy City! Well, it was all fabulous. Erin has a sweet family, and I even had the chance to catch up with her mom and sister…time flies but they still look just how I remembered!
