Jeff Taylor’s amazing kiddos (that I’m sure you have heard all about on The Way Early Show) were privy to a private question and answer…they were prepared with a list of questions. I don’t know who I had more fun watching…Tommy & Kate or their parents! I love you, Jeff & Larisa!

Next was the Meet & Greet, where we watched as Way FM supporters met Skillet with stars in their eyes. Here is one of my favorite shots; it is my friend Alyssa (you might remember her photo shoot with the drumset!) getting her shirt signed by her favorite drummer: the very beautiful Jen Ledger.

And here is Alyssa with her family…shout out to Carmin! You guys r-o-c-k!

These are the kindest artists around..they autographed cds, posters, and were genuinely glad that the fans came to meet them. I think I smiled the entire time I was shooting!

Jeff was excited to meet a fan with a cardboard sign of his own. This was definitely one of the highlights of my night!

It was really fun watching Joy give hugs and autographs…she really loves what she does!

When they played Monster, it was seriously mind-blowing! Skillet sounds amazing live, and their stage is so full of energy and intensity that my face was melted off.

Fans wrote questions out on cards and the band members took turns answering them. And that was when I realized that these guys were so amazingly down to earth and easy to be around!

Then it was time for the Meet and Greet–check out our friend, Shavon get excited about meeting the members of Third Day! Shavon, we love you!

I just love this shot…I love those hands clapping from the audience and the silhouette of Tai Anderson on bass…I can almost hear the screaming fans when I see this!

I was thrilled to meet Joy for the first time and I have to admit: I have a crush on her! She has such a natural talent for radio, that I am literally in awe! God has blessed her tremendously, and to top it off, she is fun, sweet and super easy to be around.

Then there is Jeff, the diva. Actually, he was’t that bad this time around! Only a few requests for his good side…and he even carried my camera bag around. I think he is trying to turn his image around.

These are two of my favorite images from the shoot. Joy just looks stunning, and Jeff’s smile is real. I know this because I know him, and when I called him out on trying to flash a fake smile, he started laughing. One of the great things about photographing your friends: the ability to detect fake smiles.

I was so impressed with how comfortable these two were in front of the camera:

I was trying to not make Jeff & Joy look too much like a couple, which was kinda challenging for me, since that’s the opposite of what I usually do…I mentioned this to while taking the following shot:

And immediately afterward, Jeff yelled to all of downtown Fort Myers: “We’re engaged!” Joy started freaking out, and Jeff started applauding, but not after one more outburst: “She said yes!” I still find this whole scene endlessly entertaining. This image is an outtake, but I have to show you the way it looked:

I am still laughing.

That was fun. fun, fun, fun. Jeff & Joy, thank you for being so easy to photograph & laugh with. I loved taking your pictures!

If you don’t already listen to WAY FM, be sure to check out Jeff & Intern Joy on 88.7 WAY FM in the mornings. They are always keepin’ in real and I love doing life with them each morning. I look forward to getting to know Joy more and have no doubt that she will rock your world with her awesomeness. As for Jeff…well, I have wanted to say this for a while: he gets some flack sometimes and that comes with the territory of hosting a radio show, I get that…but I want the world to know that Jeff is one of the best examples of Christ in my life. He is someone that would lay down his life for another in a heartbeat. He is someone that I entrust frequently entrust my children to. He is someone that is honest, caring and extremely thoughtful of others. And, on occasion, he is somewhat of a diva.

I have this hourglass in my studio as decor, but when I laid eyes on baby Henry, I knew I had to use it to communicate how fast time flies with newborns…especially since he is baby #2 in this sweet family. Henry was so small, and he reminded me so much of my baby boy (who is now six!), that I was completely inspired…I am blowing this image up for myself, because when I look it at it, I feel so thankful for a job that allows me to capture precious moments in time.

Aaron & Lisa have been on quite a journey…I am going to (try to) make a long story short: Knowing how much they wanted children, it was heartbreaking to watch Aaron and Lisa battle cancer, and then, as a result: infertility. Through various methods of fertility treatments, there was hope…and we all held our breath, but Lisa wasn’t getting pregnant. They were out of chances, and they started thinking about other options.

They began an adoption process and hoped for the best. In the mean time, Lisa & Aaron became foster parents to three adorable (and very sweet) children. Watching the remarkable change in these kiddos after being in Lisa & Aaron’s care was a testimony to what great parents they would be…and so we waited to hear about adoption. And then stood in utter disbelief as their adoption failed.

I will never forget when my friend Gwen said to me “Lisa & Aaron are going to get pregnant. It’s God’s plan.”

Finally, after an emotional roller coaster over these past few years, where hope was almost lost…Lisa took a pregnancy test while Aaron wasn’t home. Against all odds, it was positive. She wanted to surprise Aaron, and decided to put the positive test in the fridge, which is Aaron’s first stop when he gets home from work. And so, they got their miracle…baby Ella is due any day now.

I am thrilled an honored to share these pictures with you, as well as their story of God’s faithfulness.

Lisa: You are simply radiant & beautiful. To both of you: We love you, are so thankful for you and can’t wait to meet your precious miracle, Ella Grace!

This is one of my favorite shots…this lamp is the FIRST thing that I bought for the studio. The color pallette started with the lamp shades, and everything fell into place after that…if you look closely, you can see the entire place.

Matthew is very attentive, caring and he kept reminding me of Jeremy Piven! His voice reminded me instantly of the character that Piven plays in Family Man, but they share some similar facial characteristics, too!

I love these two images…they just capture the joy Meg & Matthew feel over their baby!

Possibly my favorite image, because of it’s candid, playful feel…but you know me…I never stick to just one fave…
