Today I would like to bring you a glimpse of our studio…we haven’t officially announced it here on the blog (only on facebook), so here it is, the official news: We are opening a studio in Cape Coral! Wahoo! A grand opening is in the works, as well as a complete photo shoot of the entire place…until then…I hope you enjoy a little peek:

This is one of my favorite shots…this lamp is the FIRST thing that I bought for the studio. The color pallette started with the lamp shades, and everything fell into place after that…if you look closely, you can see the entire place.

You’ve seen him grow…now Jacob is one! Child Portrait Artist, Set Free Photography

A year has passed, and this sweet little fighter is one! As I sit here and write this, I can’t help but remember meeting Jacob’s mom, Jessy for the first time at a birthday party for our preschoolers..she had recently found out that she was pregnant. Jacob was a sweet surprise…number SIX…and the ultimate blessing to a beautiful family that wasn’t complete without him. He is full of life and love for his Mommy…watching him and remembering his rough start into this life filled me with praise and thanksgiving to God. I am thankful for Jacob’s sweet smile, for the miracle of his health, and for the friendship that he caused between Jessy and me.

In honor of his first year…I have to post a newborn shot:

And now…drumroll please…Jacob, the walking, giggling, one year old pirate!

He found his treasure!

His eyelashes and long and lovely…why do boys always get the long ones? It’s no fair!

And of course, we had cake! Because all sessions should end with cake!

Happy, Happy 1st Birthday, Jacob! What more can I say besides this: You have captured my heart. And I love you.

Sweet little Adriana is one! I can’t believe a year has gone by since she was born…time flies. Adriana was full of smiles and was just starting to take her first steps, which made for a really fun session! I absolutely LOVE this age, and I can’t even deal with her cute two bottom teeth…my heart was melting.

I had to get a close up shot of her a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e feet! I wanted to gobble them right up!

Adriana’s Mom, Alex had this special cake made–it looked and smelled delicious! It was a perfect way to end a perfect session…all sessions should end with cake!

Here’s a peek at how much this little one has changed in approximately 365 days:

Chicks Dig Him! Sneak peek for one year old Benny! Port Charlotte Photographer, Set Free Photography

One year old…such a milestone. I love capturing one year olds…they are curious and fun…and they remind me of my babies when they were small. After these types of sessions, I usually go home and tell my hubby that I want another baby. He shuts me down every time. So for now, I am happy to play with kiddos like Ben, and let me tell you: this chick digs him!

Ben’s cheeks were killing me…so kissable! I loved watching him stack blocks; he is a fantastic stacker.

This picture was SO worth the 1500 tries, right Jen? I just love it. I love it in full color and in vintage…sometimes I feel like I have split-personality disorder…I love both of these versions equally and I can’t decide between them. It’s the same way when I decorate–am I shabby chic or modern with clean lines? I love them both! Who AM I? I also lurve that yellow tree in the background and the bright splash of color it adds. Yes. Lurve is a term in my dictionary.

So much for a “sneak!” I couldn’t choose just a few images…Julianna was so fun to work with and her mommy selected the most adorable outfits. Here she is sporting a super frilly & fab pettiskirt with matching shirt…it’s hand dyed and those ruffles are forever!

Just look at that blonde hair and those blue eyes…she takes after her beautiful mom, Jessy. You might remember Jessy’s name…she is mommy to past blog stars: Jacob, Joshua & Jacqueline (just to name a few of her children)…and of all our sessions…this was was our best yet! I am thrilled, Jessy! I hope you are too!

Fashion Friday presents: The Matilda Jane Party! Naples Photographer, Set Free Photography

The party was last night…fun, fun, fun. I loved shopping in my living room and seeing this adorable clothing line up close. I was surprised that I ended up falling in love with clothes that didn’t even catch my attention when I looked online. I ended up buying the opposite of what I expected! I was loving it all…the worst part for everyone was narrowing down the choices.

Here are some details of the “goods” and the beautiful Ms. Shelly…she is mommy to the very famous toddler on the splash page of my website. Yes, Shelly gets to kiss those fabulous chubby cheeks every day. No fair!

Here is a shot of Jen shopping and our child model eating a cookie. This child was very sneaky about the cookies, I wish her mother would have cut her off!
ps. Jen, I wish I looked as cute as you in photos!!

I bought this outfit…I didn’t expect to fall head over heels in love in one second flat. The little owl-ish animals are my favorite and don’t get me started on the leggings! Here is the best part…this shirt is a size 2. It is really a dress for a toddler…so it can be worn for years as the dress becomes a shirt! LOVE the concept. Let’s not talk about the child model’s face. At least there is no cookie visible in her mouth.

Here is Stephanie, holding up the Felina Knot dress. This dress is the reason why I had this party. I love it, I bought it and I am going to photgraph my child in it. The colors are divine and the knots make it easy to wear as my daughter grows.

About Stephanie…I’m not allowed to hang out with her anymore or I will end up adopting a child from Ethiopia. I’m serious. I love this woman, and her passion for Christian World Adoption. She is not only passionate about adoption…she is hilarious. We spent a lot of time together yesterday attending an Empowered Networking luncheon that benefited PACE center for girls, and I have never met someone more easy to be around. Did I mention that she is funny? I laughed so hard with her…Stephanie, I love you and I thank you for not judging my whole armpit issue. Oh, and thanks for driving me to Michael’s while my car was being repaired at Scotty’s Automotive.

Okay, here is the child model again…she is wearing the Mossy Willow jacket thing. It comes in adult sizes and I bought it for myself. You think I’m joking, but I’m not…I really bought it and I am SO going to wear the heck out of it! Even in 100 degree weather. I get cold.

ps. Michelle, I will lend mine to you so that you can be matchy-matchy when Rachel wears hers!

A sneak peek for the lovely Ava Set Free Photography Naples Photographer

Sweet little Ava. Just thinking of her makes me smile…what a breath of fresh air she is! Watching her swirl and twirl with delight felt like I was witnessing everything it means to be a little girl. She listened so well, was easy to work with and so good in front of the camera that I had to ask her: have you done this before, professionally? The answer is: no! She is a natural talent!

Baby Jacob is already six months old! Here he is, full of smiles and giggles reserved only for his mommy (seriously, these smiles are a result of her kisses):

He loves being the center of attention, and he is willing to fight for it, being the youngest of six kids. His older brother and sister are in the my last Fashion Friday post…great looking family, aren’t they?

This picture convinces me that there is nothing cuter than baby denim. Nothing. Except that grin. And those fingers. And those bright eyes! I’m overwhelmed by the cute!
